Jonathan Velting RN, BSN
President & Owner
After 4 years of busy nursing school in Illinois, Jonathan moved his family to Nashville to plant themselves in a rich community with great nursing opportunities. Jonathan finished at the top of his class at Olivet Nazarene University, graduating in 2020 with his Bachelor of Science and Nursing. In between tests and clinical, Jonathan was very involved in volunteering at the community center and local homeless shelters. Even before college, Jonathan worked at a small nursing home in his hometown of Grand Rapids Michigan, where he experienced the joy that comes with helping those in need and building lasting relationships with the residents. After 2 years of bedside nursing, Jonathan discovered a passion for business and thought that he could help more people by building his own. His nursing experience at Saint Thomas West helped prepare him as a leader and manager. He knew that a business would be more effective in helping those in need of a loving hand than he could do on his own. He is deeply committed to the care of others and wants to serve his community to the best of his ability. That is why - through his leadership - Interim Healthcare of Hendersonville, TN, plans to give back to the community and be involved in outreach and education regarding chronic conditions like Alzheimer’s dementia and diabetes. Jonathan is a senior advocate. He sits on the senior services network team in the greater Nashville area and also volunteers at the geriatric council of Sumner county.

After 35 years at my family excavating business in West Michigan, my son Jon shared an idea with me that he would like to start a Home Healthcare business. I have business experience and would love to work alongside my son and use my gifts of compassion and love for people. Even a life-altering move to Tennessee hasn’t dampened my excitement once it started. Compassion in the construction industry isn’t even noticed, but in-home healthcare, it can provide meaningful relationships and meet people’s needs. I feel like I will be using my God-given gifts as He would want me to.
In 2015 I watched my wife, Luann, go back to school and become an LPN and work as a geriatric nurse. Seeing Luann’s compassion for the elderly is truly what inspires me to do Home Healthcare. What I see my wife do on a daily basis, is the environment I want to create here at Interim. Bringing people that truly care and people who really need that care, together.
